Friends of the Depot

The Friends of the Depot Committee is an active group of interested citizens whose purpose is to promote the downtown Caldwell Train Depot.

The interior Caldwell Train Depot has been recently restored for use as an event center for the local community. Renovations include a beautiful plaza and fountain located directly in front of the depot. Events such as the Friday Night Express during the summer months take place in this downtown plaza.

Future plans of the depot include a transportation interpretive center being located in the baggage room of the facility. Please contact Caldwell City Hall (455-4656) for more information concerning donations of pictures and artifacts for the interpretive center.

Annual CHPC Award

The Caldwell Historic Preservation Commission is designing an annual award for best exterior improvement on a home in the SRHD neighborhood. Examples include, paint, landscaping, and restoration.

If you have an improvement that you have made or have noticed in our neighborhood, and you’d like us to see it, please call Chuck Randolph at 459-2829 and we’ll come take pictures of it.
